Daxsome Publate License (DaX-Plte)
This license governs access and use of data under the Daxsome Publate standard. Metadata about the data (such as schema, collection method, and description) is publicly viewable, but access to the actual data content requires approval and authorization by Daxsome.
1. Definitions
"Licensor" - Daxsome or the authorized data contributor making data available under this license.
"You" - Any individual or entity accessing metadata or requesting access to the licensed data.
"Metadata" - Non-sensitive information about the data, including schema, size, format, description, and data collection methodology.
"Database" - The full data set that includes actual data records.
"Request Process" - The formal application for access to the Database.
2. Metadata Rights
Daxsome grants you the right to freely view, share, and cite metadata associated with datasets licensed under DAX-PLTE.
This includes:
- Schema definitions
- Dataset summaries
- Field-level descriptions
- Collection methodology and source metadata
3. Accessing the Data
Access to the actual data content is restricted.
You must submit a formal request via the Daxsome platform or by contacting legal@daxsome.com.
Approval is at the sole discretion of Daxsome and may include requirements such as:
- Purpose of use
- Intended audience
- Data security measures
- Confidentiality agreement
4. Restrictions on Use
Unless explicitly approved, you may not:
- Redistribute or publish the data
- Use the data in public-facing products or services
- Train public machine learning models on the data
- Create derivatives that expose the private data
5. Confidentiality
The actual data (not metadata) is confidential and must be treated as such.
You are obligated to protect it from unauthorized access, copying, or disclosure.
Metadata does not carry the same confidentiality obligations.
6. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability
Daxsome provides the metadata and data (if approved) "as-is".
No warranties are made regarding accuracy, completeness, or usability.
Daxsome is not liable for any consequences resulting from the use or interpretation of metadata or data.
7. Termination
If you breach this license or any condition of an approved data access agreement, your rights under this license are revoked immediately.
Upon termination, you must destroy all accessed data and confirm deletion to Daxsome.
8. Governing Law
This license shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana or another jurisdiction as specified in your data access agreement.
